Keeping up with Torch Design
At Torch Design, we pride ourselves in keeping busy. After all, it's always better to have too much work than not enough, right? Plus, we're always proud of our work and want to share it with as many people as we can.

Tregtronics Website Re-design
July 15th, 2011
Client: Tregtronics
Project: Website Re-design
An exciting project for those of us that remember the 80s, Tregtronics commissioned Torch Design to give its website that 8-bit flavor. We're talkin' bad animation, pixellated edges, cheesy video game art, and more!
A welcome break from the flood of Web 2.0 designs we've all grown numb to, this site really catches your attention, be it the subtle hints of a golden age gone by, or the not-so-subtle deliciousness of over-saturated, under-detailed art. Truly classic and yet somehow fresh.
Volvo 1800 50th Anniversary Celebration
July 1st, 2011
Client: Volvo Sports America
Project: Event Marketing
Coming this October 14th-16th, Volvo Sports America, coordinated by its SoCal Chapter is hosting an awesome event celebrating the 50th anniversary of its ground-breaking Volvo 1800 sportcar. The classic auto driven by "The Saint" and our own Matt Torch, this baby is timeless.
So it was only appropriate to to treat it to some equally awesome design collateral. From flyers to t-shirts to trophies, Torch Design is doing it all!
"Pirate Tiles" Boardgame
May 15th, 2011
Client: Internal Project
Project: Boardgame Design
Inspired by the Bounty of Ages, Torch Design decided to put together a simpler, classic board game, incorporating all the gameplay dynamics we love, in a format that's easy for all age groups.
A tile-based game with multiple levels of complexity, this game grows with you. Take on your opponents as one of many pirates, exploring, conquering, and populating a new world of plunder!
"Bounty of the Ages" Boardgame
December 1st, 2010
Client: Internal Project
Project: Boardgame Design
We here at Torch Design consider ourselves to be game geeks. Video games, boardgames, even those silly Facebook apps... we can't get enough. That being said, we've gotten tired of playing crappy pirate games over the years, and decided to put one together ourselves.
Based on an idea presented by Greg Harrison, this game pits golden age pirates against greek heroes and mythos. Kind of a weird idea, we know. But somehow, it works!
